Questions and answers about our program

  • Season Dates

We offer three different wrestling seasons each year, a “pre-season”, the regular folkstyle season, and our freestyle season. Please check our website for exact dates each year but, in general, the pre-season begins in September, the regular season in February, and the freestyle season in April.

  • Practice Schedule

We usually practice three days a week during the regular season and freestyle season. Pre-season is typically twice a week. We train at both Boulder High School and Fairview High School. We typically follow school schedules, so when schools are closed for holiday weeks or weather-related closures, we will not hold practice.

  • Costs

There are three components to the cost of the wrestling season. The first is a USA Wrestling Card, which currently costs $20 per year, per wrestler.  The second is our club fee, which is $200 for our current freestyle season. The third will be the costs of tournaments, which you will pay on your own during the freestyle season and is expected to be $25 per tournament.

Importantly, we offer a limited number of “scholarships” to assist with the club fee for anyone that is unable to pay the regular fees, please contact us for more information.  No child will be prevented from wrestling due to cost

  • Competitions

During our current freestyle season competition is optional. We expect to compete two or three times in Colorado.
